Sleigh it Ain’t So – OWA Holiday Tradition

November 21, 2022

Family traditions and the holiday season go together like Santa and his reindeers. Whether your family visits OWA each year for the holidays or you plan to start this year—Christmas at OWA is waiting for you!

Kick off the most wonderful time of the year in the fully decked halls… or streets of Downtown OWA for the annual Tree Lighting on November 19. This remarkable holiday experience is filled with live entertainment and the main event of course, the lighting of the 36-foot Christmas tree, snowfall and fireworks display.

Watch as the holidays come to life on stage at the OWA Theater for a Christmas spectacular you won’t want to miss. For two weekends in December, enjoy matinee and evening shows of the Holiday Express – A Christmas Spectacular Play produced by Seward Studios. This original production will leave you wishing the holidays never ended.

If you’ve ever dreamed of dressing like an elf and riding your bicycle around, spreading Christmas cheer for all to hear, you’re in luck! The Elf Ride prizes will be awarded for best costume and bike decoration. Back by popular demand is the Santa Brunch. Dress the kids in their finest Christmas couture or favorite holiday jams for breakfast with the big man himself. This delicious pancake brunch is a favorite each year so don’t waste time—reserve your spot before they are all gone!

Pull out those Christmas sweaters—the uglier the better for this favorite holiday event: The Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest. Bring the family to Sweet Tooth in Downtown OWA in their ugly sweaters to enter the contest. There will be four giant stockings up for grabs with a combined retail value of $450 in prizes!

If enjoying dinner and a show is your holiday style, OWA has you covered. Trip Down Memory Lane is an up-close and personal show that will take you and your date on a trip down memory lane as Brandon Styles magically changes his voice while singing nearly 40 classic artists from 1950-1970! Or if murder mystery interest you, how about a holiday version? Ho Ho Homicide – A Christmas Murder Mystery Dinner Show will have you and your friends playing a good-old fashioned game of whodunnit—Santa style! Enjoy dinner and an interactive show to help you solve the case!

Looking to visit the North Pole without traveling too far? Pack your bags and grab your winter coats, because OWA’s North Pole Experience in Downtown OWA will make your holiday dreams come true. Santa’s Elves are ready for craft-making, photo ops and more fun in the North Pole at≈
