Community Safety Day
Head to Downtown OWA for Community Safety Day on Saturday, September 25 starting at 5pm! During this free event, guests will enjoy interactive demonstrations from first responders, public safety officers, and local non-profit groups that support the betterment of our South Baldwin community. Plus, it’s a great way for you to help us celebrate those who work so hard to help keep our community safe!
Additional Community Safety Day activities include:
- DJ Patrick on the OWA Island
- Pin the Badge on the Police Officer
- “What to say when you call 911” fill in the blank and coloring sheets
- Fingerprint Kits provided by St. Benedicts Catholic School and State Farm

In conjunction with Community Safety Day’s live demonstrations in Downtown, The Park at OWA is offering a Free Day Pass for safety professionals and non-profit organizations with the purchase of one (1) regularly-priced General Admission Day Pass between Sep. 24-26, 2021.
And that’s not all that’s happening that day! OWA is hosting a free Island Movie Night featuring ringmaster lawn games and a showing of The Greatest Showman! Plus, over $500 in prizes are being given out that morning at Gravity Island’s Dash to the Cash competition beginning at 10am! Watch for free or enter to win for only $25.
Sweet Tooth will be giving away free Krispy Kreme Doughnuts to all first responders as well as Jelly Belly samples to help celebrate Be sure to stop in and say hey!
Bring the family for real-life, firsthand experience with the local non-profits and brave professionals who passionately serve our community in Coastal Alabama. Community Safety Day is a free event. Live demonstrations and interactive displays will be in the streets of Downtown OWA (admission free) on Saturday, September 25 starting at 5pm.
Stay for dinner and dessert. Take your cocktail to go and enjoy a walk around the lake, or maybe enjoy some thrills in the amusement park!
