Spring Fling Events kicking off at OWA Parks & Resort

March 7, 2023

Spring is in the air at OWA Parks & Resort and we are kicking things off this season with our 6th Annual St. Pawtty’s Day on March 11 beginning at 1 p.m. Everyone loves their furry friends, so OWA Parks & Resort invites you to bring them along to enjoy the fun at our 6th annual St. Pawtty’s Day celebration! This is a family-friendly event featuring music, a dog kissing photo booth, pet parade, and costume contest located on the OWA Island. All admission fees are donated to Angie’s Dog House, a local shelter.

Next up, the 43nd annual Gulf Coast Regional Mustang & Mega Car Show returns to picturesque Downtown OWA. Join us on March 18 starting at 9 a.m. for a day-long adventure as we journey through different types of vehicles —from classic mustangs to (you guessed it!) MEGA cars. Presented by the Gulf Coast Regional Mustang Club, this event is free for guests to attend and sure to delight all ages.

Join us for OWA’s all day spring-themed event Bunnies & Baskets. This free event on April 8 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. is full of family-friendly events and activities, including a Golden Egg Hunt, Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt, and photos with the Easter Bunny. There will also be arts & crafts vendors throughout Downtown OWA, as well as children’s activities and an appearance by Tuki the Toucan.

Let’s get ready to run! The most colorful race in Baldwin County, Rainbow Run, returns to OWA on Saturday, April 22. This 1.5-mile run guarantees fun as rainbow-colored powder fills the air and covers the participants as they jog, walk, skip or sprint through the streets of Downtown OWA. Check in starts at 7:30 a.m. and the run begins at 9 a.m.
