Foley, Ala. — OWA Parks & Resort is proud to announce the return of Brian Walsh to OWA as Senior Director of Operations, bringing with him extensive experience in hospitality management and property development, as well as a deep familiarity with the OWA brand and vision.
Walsh previously served as Director of Operations at OWA Parks & Resort from 2017 to 2023, where he played a key role in shaping operational strategies and enhancing guest experiences during a critical period of growth. His return marks an exciting new chapter as OWA continues to expand its offerings and revitalize its Downtown entertainment district.
Most recently, Walsh served as Director of Operations at Topgolf, a role he has held since May 2023. In this position, he further honed his leadership skills while overseeing a high-volume entertainment venue and delivering elevated guest experiences. Prior to his time at OWA, Walsh worked as a District Manager for Chicken Salad Chick from 2013 to 2015, where he developed strong operational and team leadership foundations.
A graduate of the University of South Alabama, Walsh combines industry expertise with a strong connection to the Gulf Coast region.
In his new role as Senior Director of Operations, Walsh will focus on strengthening OWA’s operational excellence while playing a pivotal role in revitalizing Downtown OWA. His vision centers on supporting new businesses, enhancing entertainment offerings, and creating a vibrant, welcoming destination for both locals and visitors.
“I’m excited to return to OWA and be part of its next phase of growth,” said Walsh. “Downtown OWA has incredible potential, and I look forward to working with the team to build energy around new businesses and entertainment experiences that bring the community together.” “Brian’s proven leadership, deep understanding of our property, and passion for creating dynamic guest experiences make him the ideal person to help lead this effort,” said Ken Leone, OWA Property Manager. “We are thrilled to welcome him back to the team.”

About OWA Parks & Resort: Award-winning OWA Parks & Resort in Coastal Alabama is owned and operated by the Poarch Creek Indians. OWA’s name is derived from a Creek word for “big water,” and the tropical theme of the 520-acre property was inspired by the Gulf of Mexico, minutes away via the Foley Beach Express.
At the heart of OWA is Tropic Falls, which includes a 23-ride theme park and the region’s largest indoor water park—bigger than a football field and covered by a convertible roof. Adjacent to the indoor water park and connected by a retractable wall is Big Water Bay, a 30,000 sq. ft. wave pool and Coastal Curl wave simulator. Just outside the ticketed areas is Downtown OWA.
