(Foley, Alabama) – Tropical touches have begun to appear at the main entrance gates to Tropic Falls, soon to be home to the largest indoor waterpark on the Gulf Coast. OWA Parks & Resort is in the process of transforming its 14-acre amusement park, featuring 23 rides and attractions, as well as a new $70+ million water park into a tropical paradise. Hiring is currently underway for a variety of positions throughout the resort including lifeguards, ride operations, food and beverage, resort services, and more.

Hiring events will begin February 26, from 12-6 pm in Downtown OWA across from Rum Island Daquiri Bar. Pay starts between $13 to $17 an hour depending on the position. OWA Team Members get exclusive perks such as one theme park Season Pass per Team Member, theme park day passes, and discounts at various Downtown OWA businesses. Additional hiring events will be held on March 4 and 5 from 12-4 pm. Giveaways will be handed out throughout the hiring sessions for applicants that fill out an application.

With the growing expansion of Team Members needed, OWA has moved their Human Resources offices to 401 Riviera Blvd. Foley, AL 36535. About OWA Parks & Resort: Award-winning OWA Parks & Resort in Coastal Alabama is owned and operated by the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. OWA’s name is derived from a Creek word for “big water,” and the tropical theme of the 520-acre property was inspired by the Gulf of Mexico, minutes away via the Foley Beach Express.

At the heart of OWA is Tropic Falls, which includes a 23-ride theme park, outdoor wave pool, and the region’s largest indoor water park—bigger than a football field and covered by a convertible roof. Just outside the ticketed areas is Downtown OWA. This pedestrian-only streetscape was inspired by Southern small towns and features numerous options for dining, shopping, and entertainment.

The destination resort offers a full calendar of events, from Downtown OWA’s own Mardi Gras Parade to the annual Christmas tree lighting with fireworks and snowfall. With its own award-winning TownePlace Suites by Marriott, OWA is the place in Coastal Alabama to thrill, then chill.
