Return of GLOWA, free fireworks show, inaugural Cornhole Classic
(Foley, Alabama) — Summer has officially arrived at OWA! This Memorial Day Weekend marks the start of summer at the Gulf Coast’s largest entertainment destination. From fireworks to DJ parties, May 24-27 will be jam packed with fun things for the entire family.
The weekend kicks off on Friday, May 24 with the premiere of GLOWA. Back by popular demand, GLOWA returns to light up the night at OWA throughout the summer season. The free, family-friendly DJ party will be bigger than ever this year, lasting nearly an hour with two different performances nightly. GLOWA starts at 8pm with its signature glow lights and live DJ performances. Families will have the chance to sing and dance with GLOWA’s performers, as well as practice a few of their own moves!
Saturday, May 25 starts and ends with quite a bang! In addition to fun kids activities inside The Park at OWA all weekend long, Saturday welcomes the Tommy Morse Band on OWA’s Island from 4-7pm for a free concert. After jamming with a local favorite, catch the 8pm GLOWA performance, followed by Foley’s largest, free firework show at 8:45pm! The fireworks can be seen throughout the property, but the best viewing areas are at OWA’s main entrance, OWA’s Island, or inside The Park at OWA.
The fun doesn’t end there, though! Head to OWA on Sunday, May 26 for the inaugural Cornhole Classic. Sixteen teams of two will compete for cash prizes in OWA’s first cornhole tournament starting at 1pm on OWA’s Island. Preregistration is required for any team to participate. Throughout the event, there will also be a live DJ on the Island’s stage, options to purchase delicious food and drinks, and fun all around.
This Memorial Day weekend also plays host to the premiere of the Brandon Styles Magic Show. You know his variety act, but now it’s time to see the pure magic of it all—alongside his lovely assistant and wife, Diamond.
