OWA Parks & Resort Kicks Off “Summer With a Splash” for Memorial Day Weekend

Foley, Ala. — OWA Parks & Resort is making waves this Memorial Day weekend with the official launch of its “Summer with a Splash” celebration, inviting guests to dive into a season packed with excitement, entertainment, and new experiences for all ages.

Guests can enjoy an action-packed kick off to summer filled with live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and refreshing ways to beat the summer heat. Tropic Falls at OWA takes center stage, offering thrills both indoors and outdoors, from the 23 exciting theme park rides to heart-pounding water slides and relaxing lazy river at the region’s largest indoor water park, to the spacious outdoor wave pool and surf simulator.

This Memorial Day weekend, start your summer with a star-spangled celebration at Downtown OWA with three days packed with family fun, patriotic flair, can’t-miss entertainment, and an exciting fireworks show to light up the night! Check out the full schedule below:

 

Friday, May 22

Kick off the weekend with a dazzling fountain show at OWA Lake, then dive into an afternoon of hands-on fun from 4–9 pm.

  • Dazzling fountain show at OWA Lake
  • Patriotic Paint Party–design your own red, white & blue t-shirt
  • Create a festive patriotic windsock with colorful ribbons
  • Pitch, Hit & Splash–a fun water balloon twist on baseball
  • Patriotic scavenger hunt for all ages
  • Live DJ spinning upbeat pop hits throughout the afternoon and evening

 

Saturday, May 23

The fun continues from 2–9 pm with more Patriotic activities including Patriotic Paint Party, windsock-making, and Pitch, Hit & Splash activities.

  • At 3 pm, gather for a special Presentation of Colors to honor our fallen soldiers, followed by a moment of silence.
  • Live music begins at 3:30 pm on the Island Stage with The Heat performing ‘70s classic rock
  • At 6 pm check out the Neil Dover Band
  • End the evening with a spectacular Fireworks Show lighting up the festival grounds at 8:50 pm.

 

Sunday, May 24

  • 12–4 pm, wrap up the weekend with more family-friendly fun including Patriotic Paint Party, windsock-making, and Pitch, Hit & Splash, all set to music from a live DJ
  • The celebration concludes with the All-American Pie Showdown – an exciting pie-eating contest with multiple opportunities to register and compete throughout the afternoon

New for summer 2026, OWA is introducing an exciting value-packed enhancement for families with their “Bonus Play Add-On” ticket. Guests who purchase General Family 4-Packs or Gulf Coast Neighbors Family 4-Packs can now add $10 Arcade and Laser Tag Bonus Play to each Tropic Falls ticket. This brand-new add-on must be selected at the time of purchase with a qualifying ticket, giving families even more ways to play and explore during their visit.

 

New Finds and Fresh Flavors

There’s always something new to discover in Downtown OWA! From tasty bites and cool treats to fun shops filled with family favorites, it’s the perfect place to snack and stroll. Be sure to check out the latest additions including Ben’s Pretzels and Voodoo Daiquiris.

Ben’s Pretzels brings its signature hand-rolled, freshly baked soft pretzels to the heart of Downtown OWA. Known for their simple ingredients and warm, buttery taste, these pretzels are sure to become a must-have snack for guests strolling through the entertainment district.

For those looking to cool off with a refreshing twist, Voodoo Daiquiris will serve up a vibrant selection of frozen daiquiris in a fun, lively atmosphere. Featuring a variety of bold flavors, it’s the perfect stop for guests seeking a laid-back, tropical vibe during their visit.
