Foley, Ala. – Fall is in full swing at OWA Parks & Resort, and October is bringing a spellbinding lineup of Halloween fun, thrilling adventures, live entertainment and family-friendly festivities! Join the fun all month long as Downtown OWA comes alive with seasonal experiences, from Creature Come Alive Zones and spooky photo spots like Zombie Lane, Witches Hollow and Jack-O-Lantern Bridge to the Pumpkins on Parade carving competition, a costume ball for the little ones, trick or treating and fun for your furry friends.

The Halloween fun is just getting started! With plenty of treats, thrills and festive fun around every corner, there’s no better place to embrace the magic of the season! Be sure to add these can’t-miss festivities to your calendar:

• Pumpkins on Parade  |  Daily October 1 – 31. Pumpkins on Parade brings fall to life in Downtown OWA with a month-long pumpkin carving competition featuring local businesses. Stroll through Downtown OWA to check out the displays, scan the QR code, and vote for your favorite creation as businesses compete to become OWA’s first-ever Pumpkins on Parade Champion.
• Little Creature’s Ball  |  Oct. 30, 5–8 p.m. Dress to impress for a children’s costume contest, complete with DJ entertainment and awards.
• Wag-O-Ween  |  Oct. 31, 11 a.m.–1 p.m. Let your furry friends join the fun with a pet costume contest, pumpkin activities, DJ entertainment and awards.
• Candy Crawl  |  Oct. 31, 2–5 p.m. Grab your treat bag and enjoy family-friendly trick-or-treating throughout Downtown OWA.

Ready for a serious scare this Halloween season? Step into Primal Fear, OWA’s immersive, haunted attraction. Journey through a chilling maze designed to awaken your deepest fears with claustrophobic passageways, unsettling distortions and unexpected encounters that blur the line between imagination and reality. For an even bigger scare, upgrade with the Black-Out Hour, featuring total darkness and only a small flashlight to guide your way. Grab your ticket and check out this event on select nights Sept. 25–26 and Oct. 2–3, 9–10, 16–17 and 19–31, 2026.

And the fun doesn’t stop there! Tropic Falls at OWA remains open on weekends throughout October, giving families the chance to enjoy the region’s largest indoor water park, including water slides, a lazy river and wave pool. Tropic Falls Theme Park also offers 23 rides and classic midway games.
