February Brings Mardi Gras Magic and Nonstop Fun to OWA Parks & Resort

Foley, Ala — February is bursting with excitement at OWA Parks & Resort, where winter fun meets festive flair! This month, OWA comes alive with live music, seasonal entertainment, and special events perfect for all ages. Guests are invited to enjoy a lively Mardi Gras celebration filled with vibrant colors, festive music, and family-friendly fun that brings the spirit of the season straight to the Gulf Coast. From parades and kid-friendly festivities to live performances and theme park fun, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Get ready to let the good times roll at OWA Parks & Resort with a spectacular lineup of Mardi Gras events designed for the whole family. From a kid-friendly masquerade street party to a lively Mardi Gras parade, OWA is the perfect destination for Mardi Gras fun on the Gulf Coast.

February 7  |  Krewe de Kids Masquerade Street Party  |  10 am – 5 pm
Kick off Mardi Gras at OWA with a festive street party just for kids! The fun begins at 10 a.m. with registration opening for OWA’s Mardi Gras King and Queen competition. Guests ages 18 and under are invited to enter OWA’s Best Mardi Gras Costume Contest for a chance to reign as King or Queen for the day. One boy King and one girl Queen will be selected in three different age categories. Winners will proudly ride at the front of the OWA Mardi Gras Parade on Sunday, February 15.
Throughout the day, families can enjoy kids activities, street performances, and special appearances, including performances by the South Baldwin Dance Team.

This Mardi Gras celebration kicks off with an afternoon full of fun, including street performances, kids activities and live music, followed by a King Cake Eating Competition. The first 25 guests to sign up will compete to see who can finish an entire King Cake first. 1st Place will win two day passes to Tropic Falls, with 2nd & 3rd Place winning one day pass to Tropic Falls. Then at 6 p.m. stay for a family-friendly Mardi Gras Parade winding through the streets of Downtown OWA for all guests to enjoy. Those interested in participating reserve a spot to ride in the parade by January 25. Each parade entry is $15.

The excitement doesn’t stop there! Continue to enjoy year-round fun at Tropic Falls Theme & Water Park every Saturday and Sunday throughout the month starting at 10 am. Enjoy thrilling rides, exciting slides, and endless family fun.

In Downtown OWA, the Brandon Styles Theater continues to bring laughter and amazement with a full lineup of music, comedy and magic. Be sure to check out one of these great shows!
