Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival

May 12-14

Named the 2021 Event of the Year by the Alabama Tourism Department, this all-ages hot air balloon festival has a variety of activities and entertainment to keep your imagination soaring. The festival features daily live music and entertainment, arts and crafts displays, plus tethered rides (weather-permitting). This year’s event will feature over 50 balloons with pilots from across the country. Catch the Balloon Glow (weather and wind permitting) daily beginning around dusk. See more details

Blue Chair Bay Bus Tour

May 18

Kenny Chesney’s Blue Chair Rum Bus is on the road and making a stop at OWA—and you’re invited! Stop by the tropical tour bus on May 18 from 5-7 pm for Blue Chair Bay bus photo ops, plus your chance to win a signed Kenny Chesney guitar and Kenny Chesney concert tickets. Participating Downtown OWA restaurants will also offer samplings of your favorite Blue Chair Bay Rum flavors. See more details

OWA Hosts Tunes and Tanlines Music Fest

June 11

Gather a few friends, blankets, and a folding chair or two because you won’t want to miss Tunes and Tanlines Music Fest at OWA! Dustin Lynch, along with Bailey Zimmerman and Ella Langley are the entertainment for this special event. Tickets start at $25 and are on sale now. Tropic Falls Indoor Water Park Opens

June 27

Hold onto your goggles, the all-new Tropic Falls indoor water park opens June 27 at OWA! It’s unlike anything the Gulf Coast has ever seen before—bigger than a football field and covered by a convertible roof of 1800 glass panels. The indoor tropical escape includes a 300,000-square-foot wave pool, 142-foot-tall slides, and a tropical atmosphere with more than 200 palm trees and nearly a million dollars in color-changing lights! Plus, there’s more tropical fun to come before summer’s end, including a surf simulator and wave pool. Ready to splash? Tickets go on sale May 25.
