OWA Updates: COVID safety guidelines

Guest Relations

We want to make sure you have an exceptional experience the entire time. We are always available to answer questions, offer advice and hear your suggestions.

Guest Relations is located at the front gate of Tropic Falls Theme Park. The information found here covers guest relations and guest guidelines for Tropic Falls Theme Park:

Guest Relations will handle all lost and found items. Please visit their location should you need it.

Tropic Falls Theme Park offers “rain checks” contingent upon weather. This is evaluated on a case-by-case basis. See Guest Services if you wish to inquire about a rain check.

Season passes are purchased and processed at the Guest Relations window in Tropic Falls Theme Park. They will also answer any questions or handle any issues with your season pass.

A limited supply of wheelchairs and strollers are available for rent at the retail store at the front entry area of the park. Wheelchair rentals are $10.

Since wheelchairs and strollers are rented on a first come, first served basis and cannot be reserved in advance, we urge guest to bring their own. Rented wheelchairs and strollers from Tropic Falls Theme Park cannot be taken outside the park gates.

Locker Rentals are available for rent inside Tropic Falls Theme and Waterpark on a first come, first served basis.

By entering the park, guests grant OWA the right to film, video, record or photograph them on park property for any reason without payment or consideration. OWA requests that all photographs or video taken by our guests be used for their personal use and enjoyment only. Any use, reuse or reproduction for commercial purposes without the express written consent of OWA is strictly prohibited. OWA reserves the right to refuse to allow photography of any kind as necessary at individual locations. No commercial photography of any kind is permitted, unless granted access by OWA. Specifically, the use of the following equipment is not permitted:

  • GoPro cameras
  • Lenses greater than three-and-one-half inches in length
  • Interchangeable lenses of any kind
  • Any camera mounted to a vehicle, drone, cart, scooter or other moving object
  • No cameras (video, still, cell-phone, smart phones, etc.) are allowed on any rides at any time. No exceptions.

Guests must have written permission to use photographs and/or videotape of OWA images for commercial broadcasting, advertising, marketing or publishing in any medium.

Parties with more than two guests may be able to take advantage of Rider Swap, which enables guests to experience an attraction while another member of their party waits with the guest who does not ride. The guests then “swap” to enable the other party member to enjoy the attraction without having to wait in line again. For further information on how to use this service, please speak with a Ride Attendant at each specific attraction.

Service animals are welcome at Tropic Falls Theme Park. Service animals must be physically controlled on a leash or harness at all times. Due to the nature of our rides, service animals must remain with a non-riding member of their party. Tropic Falls Theme Park staff are not permitted to take control of service animals. Guest whose service animal demonstrates aggressive actions toward our guests or staff will be directed to remove the animal from the park. Limit one service animal per guest. Guest may take advantage of Rider Swap policy for staying with service animals.

Guests with visual impairment should follow the same attraction entrance guidelines as all other guests. Guests with visual impairment are provided with a description of the ride and the movements they will experience from the Ride Attendant. All guests with visual impairment should have a clear understanding of the type of ride they are boarding and the movement they are going to experience. Visually impaired guests may ask the Ride Attendant at each location for Rider Swap if they choose not to ride. Please ask the Ride Attendant at each location for specifics on performing a Rider Swap.

Due to the dynamic nature of the rides, oxygen tanks are not permitted on most attractions. Please see a Ride Attendant or talk to a member of management to discuss available rides. Oxygen tanks are permitted in all restaurants and retail locations.

All Guests must meet minimum height and all other safety requirements of each attraction. These safety requirements are posted at the entrance to each ride. Safety is our number one priority. In some situations, Guests may not be permitted to board a ride in the interest of personal safety or the safety of other Guests and employees. Guests must be able to utilize all safety restraints and devices as designed by the manufacturer and must have the ability to maintain the proper upright riding posture throughout the ride’s duration. This includes but is not limited to hands on handlebars, feet on floor, and a proper upright riding posture.

Evacuations may be required due to circumstances out of our control. Certain evacuations may require guests to use additional safety equipment during the process. If an evacuation from a ride is required, for safety reasons, we may evacuate ambulatory guests prior to evacuating those guests using wheelchairs. If so, you accept any risk due to a delayed evacuation if we need to physically lift or lower you.

Guests with any prosthesis should not ride unless they can ensure the device is properly secured and will remain in place during the ride. All riders must be able to maintain the proper riding position. Additionally, prosthetic devices with exposed metal parts are not permitted on most of Tropic Falls Theme Park rides.

Guests with cognitive disabilities should inquire with the Ride Attendant at each location for assistance. All members of the party with the cognitive disabled guest(s) are provided with a description of the ride and the movements they will experience from the Ride Attendant. All guests with cognitive disabilities should have a clear understanding of the type of ride they are boarding and the movement they are going to experience. Members of the party may ask the Ride Attendant at each location for Rider Swap if they choose not to ride. Please ask the Ride Attendant at each location for specifics on performing a Rider Swap.

Most attractions at Tropic Falls Theme Park cannot accommodate loose articles including cell phones, keys, pagers, hats, cameras, recorders, stuffed animals, purses, backpacks, umbrellas, beverage containers, personal entertainment devices. Items should be safely secured in a locker, bin or with a non-rider prior to riding. Tropic Falls Theme Park is not responsible for lost stolen or damaged items. FOR YOUR SAFETY, DO NOT ENTER UNAUTHORIZED AREAS TO RETRIEVE LOST ARTICLES. You may be seriously injured upon entering an unauthorized area.

Each ride has a manufacturer height standard based on the safety restraint system being utilized. Guests can measure their children at the front ticket booth area or at the entrance of each attraction. Shoes cannot contribute excessively to the child’s height requirement. Tropic Falls Theme Park reserves the right to ask that shoes be removed to ensure a child’s height is not being artificially enhanced or manipulated.

Guests with casts and braces will be restricted from riding where the cast and brace will not fit inside the ride unit or where it will present a hazard to the guests or others. Guests with full arm (elbow restricted) and full leg (knee restricted) casts or braces are restricted from most rides.

Pregnant women should follow all rules and guidelines listed for each attraction. Review the warnings outside each attraction before riding.
