Bring the Family to Enjoy Free, Interactive Demonstrations and Celebrate Local Heroes

(Foley, AL) – Thank a first responder at OWA’s 4th annual Community Safety Day event on Saturday, August 21st! During this free event, guests will enjoy interactive demonstrations from first responders, public safety officials, and local non-profit groups that support the betterment of Baldwin County.

The event begins at 5pm and will be located throughout admission-free Downtown OWA. Bring the family for real-life, firsthand experience with the local non-profits and brave professionals who passionately serve the Coastal Alabama community.

Guests can watch pole climbing demonstrations and receive blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol checks. Blood donations will be taken, and participants will be tested for COVID-19 antibodies. Blood donors will also receive a complimentary ticket to the amusement park. Kids may also learn how to navigate and enter a fire house from the Foley Fire Department!

Additional Community Safety Day activities include Pin the Badge on the Police Officer, “What to say when you call 911” fill-in-the-blank and coloring sheets, music from DJ Patrick on the OWA Island and more.

OWA is also offering a free Day Pass to the amusement park for safety professionals and participating non-profit organizations with the purchase of 1 regularly-priced General Admission Day Pass between August 20-22, 2021.

There will be a free Island Movie Night event to cap off the evening with a showing of Zootopia at 7:45pm on the OWA Island. Create your own animal mask activities will be available beginning at 6pm and leading up to showtime while supplies last. Come out for an evening of free, family-friendly fun at OWA!
