A day full of imagination and discovery awaits at Once Upon a Story in Downtown OWA on Saturday, September 6th, as we kick off Literacy Month! Enjoy FREE activities inspired by favorite stories and genres, from growing your own beanstalk and mixing magical fairy potions to meeting beloved characters around Downtown OWA and Tropic Falls. Kids can climb the 22-foot rock wall, bounce in a castle inflatable, take part in scavenger hunts, and enjoy free face painting.
Visit the Scholastic Book Fair at Story Book Manor with proceeds towards Baldwin County Library System and register for a Baldwin County Library card at the Splashpad. Plus, don’t miss the Friends of the Library Book Donation, starting September 1st, drop off your donations in front of Starbucks to help share the joy of reading.
As the evening winds down, gather for a special preview of Gulf Coast Rep – The Playhouse’s production of Sleepy Hollow on the OWA Island stage.
It’s a full day of books, crafts, entertainment, and the magic that only a great story can bring!
