Elvis Remembered with Shane Tucker and the Promised Land Band is a tribute show to the greatest entertainer of all time – Elvis Presley. Shane and the band met in 2013 when Shane was asked to do a solo performance at the Gulf Shores Methodist Church. The church music director then was Cody Johnson, who is currently a piano/keyboard player and backup vocalist. Cody asked Shane if he would like to do a few live songs with the church’s praise band as part of the show. Shane was thrilled with this idea, and the live songs were a hit with the audience… the band, and Shane. Rob Hurston, the current drummer and drummer for that performance, told Shane after the show, “We should put together a whole show.” That was the beginning of Elvis Remembered. The band includes backup singers June Hurston, Kay Sorrells, and Danny Durastanti on lead guitar and vocals. The bass player for the first few years was Joel Doby, but, sadly, Joel passed away in 2017. At that time, current bass player and vocalist Barry Shaw joined the show. Shane and the band take pride in recreating the energy, excitement, and charisma of a live Elvis show while infusing the show with their own style of entertainment. Elvis Remembered is presented with the utmost respect for the memory of Elvis while recreating memories of “The King of Rock and Roll” for Elvis fans of all ages. Make sure you don’t miss Elvis Remembered when it comes near you.
