Stein Holding Contest

Prepping for stein hoisting should always start with some training. Contestants should time their attempts in order to keep a record of their personal best. Contestants can train by practicing their grip with small pints and then working their way up to a full liter.  Each contestant will hold a 1-liter Stein, filled with a beverage, with one arm, completely stretched out and parallel to the floor. You must hold the Stein as long as possible in this position. The longest time will be tracked throughout the night. Several rounds will take place. Each contestant can only compete once.

Points:

• 0-30 sec = 0 points • 31-60 sec = 1 point • 61-120 sec = 2 points • 121-180 sec= 3 points • 181-300 sec = 4 points • 300+ sec = 5 points

Partner Carrying Competition

Two chosen people from each team will race through obstacles while one carries the other. Two teams will compete at a time. The objective is for the contestant to carry their partner through a special obstacle track in a faster time than the opposing team. The only equipment allowed is a belt worn by the carrier and a helmet worn by the carried. The contestants run the race two pairs at a time, so each heat (round) is a contest in itself. Each contestant takes care of his/her safety and, a signed waiver is required to participate.

Points: • If they drop their teammate at any time = 0 points/disqualified • 1st Place = 4 points • 2nd Place = 2 points

Thumb Wrestling

The object of the game is to defeat your opponent by pinning your opponent’s thumb whilst saying “one, two, three, four, I win thumb-o-war!” within each 60-second round limit as stipulated by the rules of the World Thumb Wrestling Championship. Contestants will be required to wear gloves and a face shield while competing.

Points: • Each contestant in a team has one (1) chance to compete against a member of another team. A team cannot compete against a person on their own team. • Winner= 2 points • Loser = 0 points

Beer Sliding

Teams should practice moves that display balance and skill. The stein will be heading your way full speed and your team has to creatively catch it in a formation, turns, or flips to receive maximum points. What will your team do? All four contestants on a team must compete in this game. One team member will slide a full stein to the other 3 teammates. The other 3 teammates have a choice of catching the stein directly on its bottom, directly by the handle with their pointer finger and thumb, or catch it with a creative trick for maximum points. The object is to receive the highest score for creativity.

Points: • Catching on the bottom = 2 points • Catch directly by the handle with pointer and thumb = 3 points • Creative catch = 4-10 points

*Must be 21 or older to participate. A signed waiver by each contestant is required to participate.
